Prague was an amazing city, rich in history and with intricate architecture. I enjoyed just wandering the streets. Prague is also economical. The food was inexpensive, as was my hotel, and I didn’t have to pay for parking or worry about getting a ticket. The people were also friendly even though I didn’t speak the language. I found Czechia and Poland more laid back then western Europe and with less rigidity. Here are a few of my images from walking the streets on the first day.
Interesting fact: In the image above, is the city’s famous Dancing House which was inspired by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Designed in collaboration with Canadian-American Frank Gehry and Croatian-Czech Vlado Milunić, the building symbolizes yin and yang, representing the merging of communism and democracy.
Have you ever been to the city? What is most memorable for you?
